I don't blame Toyota, US customers are very vocal and demanding. I love my bz4x with all its flaws and believe ev tech is not there for trucks/vans/large suvs until they overcome physics limitations. I really like toyotas slow and balanced approach and believe bz4x is the best ev currently esp at $30k. It may take 4-5 years before a real breakthrough is achieved and then I am going to want an ev van. These younger generation are going to be able to afford to live out of cars instead of buying homes. If you see the BYD evs they are more luxurious than old homes.

“It also gets a heat pump, battery preconditioning, route planning and a factory-fitted NACS charging port.”

I believe every bZ4x ever sold in the NA market was equipped with a heat pump… makes me question the accuracy of the article …

I have seen conflicting information about this. I do know that when I use heat in winter I get terrible range, like 100 miles in fwd.

They do. But it was in 2024 they began to use it for battery heating/cooling in addition to PTC heaters.
