Does anyone know of any changes to the 2025 model over the 2024 model? Or where we could go to find this out? Like there were some changes hardware wise from the 2023 to the 2024 year in the charging system.

Don't know but seen articles they are discounting it $10k instead of normal $16.5k. Maybe preparing for trump ev backlash? I didn't catch any updates in the article. It seems as if Toyota is offering nicer discounts on the Lexus version.
Discover the Toyota offer details that apply to your new Toyota vehicle. Whether you want to lease a Toyota or buy a new Toyota vehicle, these offer details can help you choose the approach that's right for you.
Yup, they didn't tweak anything except the color and the price. They'll either axe the car in 2026 or have to re-design it to be competitive because it will most likely be far far behind the pack come 2026.
Well, we knew when Toyota dropped the Lexus RZ300e price that price drops had to be coming for the bz4X. The bz4X now starts at $38,465, that's really low. Is there any other SUV with 200 miles of range that is priced that low? I am surprised that Toyota has taken the price drop route. Won't they just be losing money on every one they sell? It seems they would be better off just leaving the price where it was and just put efforts towards a better EV when they're ready to really make a good one. As @Reckless mentioned above though, if they are reducing their lease cash they are offering by the same amount, then it's really a wash I guess. I think over 80% of EV sales are leases these days.
The Kia Nero EV/Hyundai Kona EV are same price, 250 mile range, and an actual charging speed of 85kw, even now in colder weather. I'd also add that the base Chevy Equinox EV qualifies for the $7500 rebate (wether that is available under new administration remains to be seen).
But then the Equinox and their ilk are GM products and as such are like most GM stuff. Not well made. I'll put up withe the little quirks of the BZ before I buy something from GM, Chrysler, Ford etc.
If you're leasing, most GM EVs have been relatively reliable. I know 10 years down the line, the Toyota will hold up better, but it doesn't seem to be a concern when leasing these new cars.
I'd take a bz4x AWD over an equinox any day. I think bz4x is great but I do wish price was less. It sucks that China gets $14k bz3x and $24k bz4x.
I don't care for one pedal driving nor do I need software gimmicks. Preconditioning might have been nice but as someone who intends to charge every night at home its not a big deal. I do wish for 22kw 3 phase ac charging but not a deal breaker.
My only other wish is for steering dampers and 17 inch wheels. My only reason for not getting a Cadillac lyriq was this. Lucky for me they are one of the worst in reliability.
I'd take the Equinox EV and it's faster charging time. Even now in the cold I see those cars hitting 130kw at the charging stations. My bz4x awd never hit 130 even in the middle of summer!!
The batteries for the Chevy Equinox EV are made in joint-venture plants operated by GM and LG in Lordstown, Ohio and Spring Hill, Tennessee. GM and LG are also constructing a third plant in Lansing, Michigan.
The Equinox EV uses GM Ultium batteries, which are also used in other GM electric vehicles, such as the Chevrolet Blazer EV.
It took far too long to get here, but it may have been worth the wait. The 2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV, GM’s smallest and least expensive battery-electric vehicle, is finally rolling into dealerships across the country. Now we’ve driven it, and it’s good. You can view the electric Equinox as the...
And they ship the Honda with Apple CarPlay support whereas GM doesn’t generally do that in their EVs these days.
Curiously, it seems the Chevy Silverado EV work trucks have CarPlay, but the more expensive, better featured consumer ones don’t have it. GM, like Toyota, saying they know better. At least eventually Toyota realized that wireless CarPlay was a good idea.
I can’t argue the merits of built-in Google .vs. CarPlay, but I’d bet trying to convince most Apple iPhone owners to accept no CarPlay would be met with pretty stiff resistance.,.
FWIW the system in the BZ is Google based. Just tweaked to respond to "Hey Toyota" You can select to use Android Auto for all the features or in the settings you can set it up to link to your phone for calls and music only and rely on the built in Toyota system. I was playing with that a little today. Though honestly I did not dig very deep. FWIW I like Android Auto and find it very functional.
There’s a lot to like about the Equinox, but unfortunately for me, I wouldn’t trust my local dealership to work on a child’s little red wagon, much less some etched-up modern vehicle. That place can find a way to break the unbreakable…
I agree, I plan to stick with Toyota. I like the reliability that they put in their cars. Even though the range sucks and the charging times could be better, I find them in my every day driving not a problem at all. All my driving is in town. I have taken 4 trips and have not had problems finding charging stations and running into the 3 charging limit per day problem. If I do plan to take a bigger trip I would rent a car and take this trip anyway or fly there. This car has everything I could want from a car and more. After the lease is up I plan on buying it as it is a great car. Hopefully they fix some stuff by then via software updates but if they don’t it isn’t going to change my mind how I feel about the car. I think Tesla is overrated and isn’t as unique like the BZ4X and doesn’t drive as well either. This car just rocks in the features it offers.
Still will take a Toyota any day of the week. I'll trust a Toyota any day of the week and live with the slight limitations. I'll tak some limitations but reliability.
I leased a 2nd bz4x over a lyriq over comfort and reliability. Considering to purchase it when its worth under $10k in 2026. If I could buy chinese evs I would.
