There's one that's not going to be fixed in the recall. Maybe they can get Toyota to buy it back under the Lemon Law.

I saw this mentioned on Reddit, but you can’t tow an electric car unless all four wheels are off the ground, so I assume it would have been on a flatbed anyway.

It would be interesting to know what the real story behind this accident was! Also, I'd like to just buy some pieces of this car to keep for future use.... Batteries, infotainment center.... I too wonder what it would sell for... maybe I'll get my broker to put a bid on it and see if will go super cheap! ha! 😁

Conspiracy theory - they crashed because the wheel(s) came off. The wheels were put back on before the car was towed.

This one is listed pretty high, easy to rebuild this one! They'll make money on it. There is no way i would pay $66k for this from Copart... why would anyone? duh! buy new for cheaper! (**If Copart is listing that as the retail price (that means the original owner paid at least $10k markup.)

DETAILS: purchased from ELMORE Toyota in Westminister, CA.
MSRP was: $52,423
AWD - Limited.

So, pretty much loaded (probably had some port add-ons).

What i don't understand, is what people's problem with driving is? and this doesn't look that bad, so did the Safety Sense 3.0 FAIL? what the CRAP?

Without knowing any details of the collisions, we can only speculate, but I would point out the best safety system in the world can only affect the vehicle it’s installed on. If another vehicle strikes it head-on, there isn’t much any vehicle can do about the other vehicle’s momentum.

Whether or not that is what happened to either of these cars, I just don’t think we know enough to speculate.

Then again, if there were single-vehicle events, I certainly agree that something is lacking in the collision avoidance systems.

I think this one has been posted before, but it actually started the auction and you can BUY IT NOW for only $29k.... man that's a steal!!! Thinking, Thinking... ha ha ha. sure would be nice to have some parts off of it.... although the batteries won't match the one i'm purchasing (CATL vs. Panasonic on this one).... Although, the Electric motor is perfectly fine, the infotainment center is perfect... seats, fenders, lights, etc.
