Hello forum!

First post here. In my country, I have to upgrade to a higher spec model in order to get the JBL speakers. I'm not sure if it is worth it for me, but I sure do love listening to some good travel tunes.

Has anyone compared the standard 6 speaker Toyota speakers to the JBL? Obviously the JBL is going to be better, but I'm wondering if the standard Toyota speakers sound ok to those that have had a chance to play any music on it.

I may go back to the dealership and request to listen to both models if they haven't pulled the bZ4X's from the showroom floor.

Hi @mrjon welcome to the forum! From my experience the JBL speakers are a nice upgrade compared to the standard ones.

If you're able to listen to both speakers in person that'd be the best thing to do since everyone has different musical preferences.

Here's a good review of the JBL speakers in the RAV4 from last year if you're interested.

That was a great idea checking out the RAV4 review of what's probably a very similar if not the same speaker setup! I might drop by the dealership later this week and hopefully get to compare the 2 speaker systems directly.

Hi,i'm sincerely hoping standard audio will sound good, but i must confess i have never heard better factory speakers than Skoda Fabia 1st gen(2.0),i think whole line at that time,it was around year 2006,they didn't need subwoofer at all...i'm pretty sure standard audio will be mediocre, jbl will be almost as good as fabias factory... i used to listen electronic(hehe) music...loud...these times doors are full of crap and no place for speaker chamber..

I got to play some of my music today in the showroom bZ4X with the standard Toyota system speakers. They are not as bad as I had feared. Spatial presence/sound stage was actually pretty ok. The bass I felt was the worst with it being noticeably mushy when it was supposed to be crisp. I think turning down the bass a little will help quite a bit.

I would have tested it for a while longer but there were quite a few older folks around and I didn't feel like having too spirited of a music session today while they waited for their cars to be serviced. 😅
