Wheel Tire Car Land vehicle Plant

Toyota isn't taking reservations like so many other recent competitor EVs because he says everyone else who's doing that is just frustrating their customers with long wait times.

They'll be directing most of their early production to ZEV states, so they're worried about taking too many pre-orders from states that won't be getting vehicles for some time to come.

I have to imagine this will make the dealers happy because it helps them maintain relationships with buyers rather than just serving as the delivery mechanism for people who order online. This seems smart to me, but I hope Toyota is able to communicate with the dealerships so that it doesn't create issues if dealers aren't able to share any info about when they'll have vehicles to actually sell.

It's one thing to recognize that the online pre-order process is leading to frustrated customers, but it's no good if your solution is just as opaque.
