Just in case anyone is confused by your link, it's not a DC Charger, but it does have NEMA 14-50 output, so it could be used with a standard EVSE that is able to limit amps.

 

I called the company and sales man assured me this charges directly DC to dc, no ac.

I am debating between this and the whole home unit as an entire home battery to offset my daily electricity rates by charging battery at low rates and discharging when hourly price is high. This unit is portable the other unit is fixed in garage same as a Tesla power wall 3 but cheaper.

 

Looks like it can charge an EV, but you don’t get that much (here just 12 miles).

 

I wouldn’t want to get into an accident with that battery pack unsecured and flying around inside the cabin.

 

The only way I can see this being used on an EV is as emergency roadside service. Even that may not be enough if you only get 10-15 miles.

 

Bjorn Nyland (Teslabjorn on YouTube) uses a pair of these for his very planned out zero mile tests, so he knows he only needs a few km of range to get to a real charger. They wouldn't be practical for the average user to extend range. However, they may be a nice back up for power outages, to keep your freezer and refrigerator cold without running a generator.

 

I’m actually watching a review of a guy testing it as a house backup generator. This could be helpful in an emergency.
