Finally, the m/kWh readout on the trip computer. In the US, the law says this must add 10 per cent to the energy taken by the car from its battery, to account for charging losses. But it's common in Europe for trip computers to give the battery-to -wheels figure, not grid-to-wheels. So that's what the bZ4X/Solterra will now do over here. So it'll appear better – while being the same.
Wonderful. So all of the numbers from the US are not comparable to numbers from EU.

Thanks a lot.

People are already giving ”mileage” from their Guess-O-Meters as if they reflected anything in reality.

I’ll begin ignoring other people’s reports of efficiency or mileage.
so if I read this correctly, they’re saying this update won’t be around till this summer/fall 2023? And we probably need to go take it in to dealer to get it done?
The owners here in Norway received an e- mail last week that we will get an update regarding this matter in February. We will then be notified when the update will be implemented, and it seems that this update will be done by the dealers. There will be a winter test here in Norway by motor.no in 1st an 2nd of February, so maybe the car that will attend that test will have the new update.

I suspect they won’t roll it out worldwide, until getting more testing and feedback.

Solterra owners will be at the mercy of Subaru to choose to take that update and make it available,
