I’ve got a GRIZZL-E “smart” version. I think a lot of the negative opinions come from it’s limited remote reporting abilities.
If you’re looking for a charger that you can set charging times via your phone, see the amount of KWh sent to the vehicle, and don’t care much about charging stats, etc., then it’s an excellent choice. It’s a basic charger that you can set up a charging time remotely, and that’s about it.
OTOH, if you don’t really care much about charging stats, and just want in essence a EVSE to charge your EV, it’s worth taking a look at.
