I have had a long history with Toyota’s Prius family. We first had a 2007 Prius. When the Prius C came out, I bought myself one and loved it. When the Prius prime came out I ordered one and six months later got a 2018 model. I love my Prius prime in electric mode, but do not like it in gas mode. This made me eager to buy Toyota’s first EV. Recently I learned that a local dealer had the first BX4X. Yesterday I went to see it. It is an absolute beast compared to the Prius’s I have owned. It is 4 inches wider than my Prius prime which would crowd my small garage. The high wall between the driver seat and the passenger seat feels confining compared to the openness of the Prius’s interior I am used to. I was never given a chance to drive the BZ4X, but I think it would be more like driving a tank than the Prius’s I am used to. My Prius prime was under $30,000. The BZ$X limited they had was $50,000. The dealer tells me they expect to get one BZ$X each year! I am going to look for a different EV.

I have also owned Prius's since 2001, but never had a Prime version. I love the Prius too. But when I did test drive the bz4x, it was very nimble and the turning radius was extremally remarkable compared to my 2015 and 2010 Prius models; I was able to turn tightly, something I can not do with the Prius. And the power was significantly more than any Prius I have owned and the ride is smooth. Yes, it is physically bigger and may be tight in a smaller garage, but I will make room when mine finally arrives. The wait will be one year come June 6th.

i just traded prius prime for bz4x...prime is much lighter and fun when charged, drives like a go cart ...bz4x drives similar but is much heavier and feels like a very nice sized good suv, its extremely convenient and quiet.
