So... as with the Rav4Prime, Toyota is initially releasing the bZ4X in Quebec and BC... provinces which subsidize electric car sales... and punish manufacturers that don't sell enough zero emissions vehicles.

The wheel debacle has delayed the launch even in these two provinces.

Rest of Canada? Next year sometime is the best guess.

Thank you for the welcome!

I’m in Ontario. If I’m lucky we will be able to place orders in spring, i‘m guessing.

I think the Canadian configurations are different than in the US. There’s a base L fwd, pretty bare bones (no safety stuff), a FWD LE, decently equipped, then the AWD XLE or AWD XLE with tech package.

I’d initially thought XLE… but now am leaning LE:
if conditions call for AWD I’m staying home
there are charging and range penalties with the AWD
I’ll save $5000CDN

According to some facebook forums, some people are starting to see delivery dates. But no luck so far?

The (Ontario) dealership I bought my RAV4Prime (!!) from won’t take a deposit from me until it can actually place my order.

I took possession of a Nautical Blue LE FWD on the 19th Dec. I was number 2 on the waiting list at this dealership. I added a full front end paint protection film, the cargo mats and the Homelink mirror. I don't intend on using this car for any long range trips, I have a gas powered vehicle for that purpose. I had Michelin X-Ice SUV winter tires installed. I would have preferred two sets of wheels but apparently getting "extra" wheels for a BZ is impossible right now given the safety recall action.

Welcome to the forum and congrats!
I hand't thought about the wheel issue causing knock-on effects for snow tires. Thanks for sharing that detail.

Congrats on the bZ, do you already have a home charging setup at home for it?

Hi guys, another Vancouverite here.

I've been waiting for almost a year from my original dealer but still no allocation as of this month. Out of the blue, I felt like visiting a different dealer last Saturday with the original plan to only add my name to their list. To my surprise, there is one available, a Blue Standard XLE. Apparently, the original owner didn't get approved for financing. The next day I pick it up. I guess I got lucky. :)

I'm glad to join this forum.
