bZ4X Dealership Mark-Up…

What are you all hearing concerning the dealership mark-up on bZ4X. My local dealership in Dallas told me that because of the limited production of the bZ4X (~7000 cars), expect to see all marking the bZ4X up by at least 10k over MSRP. This puts this car out of my range. Curious what others have heard.

Was told by the dealer that I'm working with (out of state - but I'm a previous customer) that there would be no mark up. Have that via email and text.

Edit: They did tell me that I had to have a trade in (because of shortage of cars) since I'm out of state. Last time, they didn't mention that until I arrived so they waived that requirement for the Rav4 Prime purchase.

Good for you, save that email my friend!
Just did my pre-authorization paperwork today, they tried to hit me with a 30% mark-up, walked out 20%/$10k higher than the sticker price.

Atlantic Toyota of Long Island will have the Bz4x June 15. They want $67,000 for a 4 wheel drive Limited. I laughed.

I spoke with 4 dealerships in my area (Rochester, NY), they are not adding on dealer mark ups, but only selling to NY residents. Interestingly, but I contacted a small dealership in the area and am scheduled to take ownership beginning of June!

Welcome to the forum @masupertec! Which bZ4X model are you looking to get and which dealer did you place your order with?
I texted my Toyota rep and confirmed that I will get the MSRP price based on the specs sheet. Fingers crossed!!!

Did any mention what kind of allocation they are expecting and if it's any particular configuration (AWD vs FWD, colors etc)? I talked to Hoselton and they had no idea other than "something in June"

Hey @j1772x2, what bZ4X spec are you hoping to get?

It looks like we can only get it as an XLE or Limited, both available in FWD and AWD

Somebody posted that depending on the areas of the country, some allocations will be only AWD, or only FWD. Just dont know if it's accurate. I just want FWD XLE and would really like its DCFC charge curve to be somewhat reasonable.

Thank you!
Getting a limited on heavy metal. The dealership told me that they are only getting one a month so it's take what you get or wait for the next one and hope it's what you want.

The dealer at Hoselton told me that they are only getting in 1 a month; he didn't specify what they are getting in though. Hoselton also wasn't very responsive to me. In fact I'm still waiting to heat back from them. I ended up putting a deposit down at Fox Toyota on Auburn- I was first in their list. With everyone, it's a get what they have in, not actually ordering exactly what you want, or wait for the next one to come in. The one that I am expected to take delivery of is a Limited AWD, fully loaded. We didn't need all that, but didn't want to chance not getting heated seats in NY 😉

When are you expected to get yours?

no idea really. We put deposit down to get in line, but there are still too many unknowns from seeing it in person, to DCFC curves, to crash test data. So we may get it or we may go somewhere else ;)
No markup for our XLE FWD due next month here in MD.

Welcome to the forum John. If you don’t mind, what dealer are you working with?

Congrats @John Puruntong and welcome! Which dealer are you ordering from? Were they the first dealer you reached out to for buying a bZ4X?
Why are people agreeing to paying these stupid mark ups keeps driving up pricing if people refused to it wouldn’t be this way

Why even agree to that
