BZ TECHNICAL

There are a lot of question that will invariably pop up during the acquisition and ownership process for many current and future BZ owners.

I figure a "Technical" thread is required.

First thing I noticed was that my BZ was delivered with the charge settings at 100% charge. From what I gathered reading about EV's in general, the recommended acceptable battery charge is 80%. I did not change the amperage setting; it's set at MAX. I know that Class III DC chargers can really pack deliver high amperage and that tends to cause the traction battery to heat.
There may not be a glove box compartment in this car but there is another compartment below the armrest's little container once this one is removed. The dealer never mentioned it nor have I seen anyone talk about it.
The plastic wheel covers of the Bz are cheap looking. Pulled off the covers and we have some OK nice wheels, manufacture wheel studs ( the main cause of the recent recall ) and no center cap. I am going to start looking form a center wheel cap 2in ish and wheel studs, black or chrome. Let you know the results.

I'd like to know what thread is used so I can purchase some wheel alignment tools to assist in mounting the wheels when I change from summer to winter wheels.
Is there a way to get a Technical section so we mat start organizing these items into specific threads....Administrator ?

How did you pull off the covers? Could you post pics of the wheels without the cover? Thanks in advance.

Here you go, these are the wheels without the plastic "Canadian Tire" type of wheel covers that Toyota provides for a $55,000 launch car. It always boggles my mind when I discover the promotion differences between the USA and Canada. The free charging incentives, the Drive Connect trial app for three years, Canadians get nothing like that.

Oh, and don't invest too much in center caps as everytime you remove and replace the Base-Corolla-type plastic low end wheel covers, they scratch the actual wheels. The covers are held by friction against the inside of the wheel.
