Personally, I’m ok with not being at the top of the list to get an update…

I’ll let someone else have the fun of working out the initial bugs that might be present.

However, I do think it’s reasonable to expect something relatively soon… say no longer that 1-2 months at most.
Its getting better on charging and consumption. With Tesla's Model Y price coming down, Tesla is the one to beat. I have driven both and find the bz4x a more smoother ride and I don't l like the single display in the tesla. You have to look down and to the right (in the US) to see your speed, while the bz4x has it right up there in your face like it should be. It comes down to preference. If you just look at the consumption and charging speed, Tesla Model Y wins. I'm still waiting for my bz but if the tesla drops a little more, it will get interesting.

I think Toyota got the car things that are applicable to all of their cars down pretty well. Lane centering and adaptive cruise are very smooth without ping-ponging. It's reasonably quiet and a smoother ride than Tesla's Model Y. It's very familiar feeling for those of us who are used to Toyota cars. It's just that charging is worse than stated, limits on fast charging were not clearly stated at least when I got my car, and it seems the battery portion of the cars were more "What's the minimum we can do to pass?" than any effort to truly compete with comparably priced EVs. It feels like the North American AWD Bz4X got even less effort to compete in the EV market.
