When I try to add my BZ4X to my Toyota app it asks me to scan a QR code. I can’t find one.

I click on “help” and it says to go to settings and then click on “getting started” then the QR code will be there.

problem is that I don’t see any “getting started” button under settings.
How have other people been able to add their car to the app? Have you found the QR code? I tried to scan the VIN but it told me I still needed to scan the QR code to proceed.
Any help appreciated.

Hey @Amerikoni you're not the only one that's had this issue. You can try adding it online in a browser but it's not a guaranteed fix either.

It won't work by doing it in the browser... they won't link to the app...

Its best to be sitting in the car... link via Bluetooth to the car first... it will ask to send a text to your phone, when you click on that text on your phone it will communicate with the the car and the QR code should pop up...

There was a video made from the Toyota Canada site, its a little convoluted and my experience was not exactly like this video but it does give you the gist of how to walk through it.

You know- problem solved actually. Right after purchasing the vehicle my wife drove the car to work for her night shift. I was trying to pair my app to it when she already had done it the night before when she was just trying to set up Bluetooth. So I used her app to add me as a driver.

Thanks for the help all!
