I am officially waiting, delivery is expected by Christmas. This will replace my 2023 AWD Limited.

It was a purchase. My expectation back then was that 2026 would bring a mid-cycle update, not a new generation. So, I had full intentions of keeping it a few more years.

Having started my green advocacy back in 1999, with the plan to purchase one of the first Prius in the US (which I did), being able to help promote through local events has been very fulfilling. To do that, I jump on the next-gen offering (well aware how fortunate I am to be able to do so).

It's been a wild ride over the past few decades.

Great hobby. I am also a Toyota Super fan. BZ is even better than prius in my opinion. I came from Land Cruisers which are alot sexier but not very green. Looking forward to Land Cruiser EV someday, I hope they keep the rugged Toyota offroad styling. Everytime I stop at the dealer I start to serious salivate looking at the newer offerings.

You can find plenty of 80 Series conversion to EV videos on the web. Usually with a Leaf motor, controller and battery pack. Great if you trailer it to the trail and it’s a short outing.

Yeah, many years ago considered this but range was not enough and I need airbags and prefer driver assistance aids. The concept was intriguing as I am a big fan of body on frame vehicles. I might revisit someday when solid state batteries get cheap. Not sure if I want old vehicles, seeing the latest land cruiser at toyota dealer looked spectacular.

Looking forward to "real world" experiences from you. Think you'll be driving that thing toward IL any time?
