It's being reported that first deliveries of the 2023 Toyota bZ4X are estimated to start around June 2022 in the U.S.
What dates have you guys heard?
What dates have you guys heard?
I did but all he is stating is "It will be here soon" and totally ignoring my request for a screenshot of its statusAh! that is interesting... didn't notice that... I sent a message to the guy that built the spreadsheet... looks like there was one other one that hasn't updated either...
Although, when i follow some procedures to pull the data from the guest.dealer.toyota.com site with your VIN number... I can't see dates, don't know where to look, although i do in fact see it has updated to "Freight" status... so that means it is definitely at port! Although, still under the same delay as everyone else...
Did you call them and ask them to send you a screen shot of what they say today?
Sounds like a pretty rude sales guy that doesn't really care.I did but all he is stating is "It will be here soon" and totally ignoring my request for a screenshot of its status![]()
Funny you say that, I literally texted Clovis Toyota customer service and they provided me with reads "Your BZ4X is still at the port, although no date is listed for it to arrive like the others in our inventory". I really want the BZ4X but I need a car sooner than that and found 3 ID4 available for purchase.Sounds like a pretty rude sales guy that doesn't really care.
by the way, the guy the built the spreadsheet found the glitch already and fixed it!
Also, is Fresno adding any Markup? If so, man they really aren't worth dealing with them! I'd tell them, look I'm just gonna pull my deposit if you won't show me what i'm asking for.. or something to that affect. Or ask to speak with a manager, etc.
My sales guy in Hawaii, is a bit annoying too, its like pulling teeth to get him to give me the info I'm asking for. In fact I'm trying to get him to confirm pushed production dates with me today and he hasn't responded in the way i had expected.
Did you get your BZ4X delivered???Thanks for sharing! But that should affect the bz4x vehicles that are in production currently at that particular plant. However, there are quite a few vehicles in transit or at a port here in the US, not sure how this shutdown in Japan affects what already has been produced and on the way to the dealership. I already have an allocated bz4x and I have the VIN #, that has a production finish date of 4/28 and departed on the vessel on 5/20. Still hoping to get mine in a few weeks.
TOKYO (Reuters) - Toyota Motor Corp on Thursday recalled 2,700 of its first mass-produced electric vehicles because of a danger that wheels could come loose.
The world's largest automaker by sales submitted the recall of the bZ4X SUVs to Japan's transportation ministry. Of the 2,700 vehicles, 2,200 were earmarked for Europe, 260 for the United States, 20 for Canada and 110 for Japan, the company said.

Depends if they have to retool something on the wheel / bolts / whatever. I say Loctite it and get going lol!Agreed, I thought the same thing! But I am glad it’s not a computer part! Which would have taken longer!
It was mentioned on the reddit thread that Toyota went to the Volkswagen style lug bolt instead of a standard lug nut. Can't Loctite that unless you never want to change a wheel/tire. Again, why Toyota? I've always hated the VW style of lug bolts vs lug nuts of other manufacturers. I imagine that there will need to be a mechanical change to fix this. I can see why it could be 90 days or longer, especially if retooling is needed. Lock washer (lol)?!? Maybe they just got a bad batch of wheel bolts or hubs with defective bolt holes?!?
I can ask my dealer, but not sure if it would get the QC hold until it arrives in port. Right now, departed on June 21st on the ship. Expected in port July 18th (damn, that's a long time). It's not yet obvious if it's to apply to all, only FWD or only AWD models. Perhaps this is the reason for the VIN structure change from a week ago. Anyone waiting with a "C" in position 7 of their AWD VIN? Does yours have a QC hold?
Mine was originally delayed for 30 days but now 90 days. Any idea?
Mine is an AWD fully loaded Limited... and it has exactly the same screen shot 91-Day hold message you posted above. My dealer sent me a screenshot of my Limited and it doesn't show a QC Hold. He showed an XLE from earlier and it has the QC Hold shown on the page....FWIW.
