It's being reported that first deliveries of the 2023 Toyota bZ4X are estimated to start around June 2022 in the U.S.
What dates have you guys heard?
What dates have you guys heard?
You're telling me but so many of the dealerships surprisingly have two or three (Northern California) available for sale.Sorry for the repeat.. i just saw your post on another string...
Bwhahah, if for some reason he has some INSIDER information, that they are going to release them soon. (ask him to show you a screen shot of the order, they have full access to that info. (date of Production, Date left port, Date arrived port, Date inspection, Date in transit, Ground) I doubt it! Its on the SAME 90-day hold as everyone else's. (PS: mines been sitting at port since 5/11 !!) Also, I'm surprised your dealership didn't already have that reserved for someone else!
Was your Deposit Refundable? You're telling me but so many of the dealerships surprisingly have two or three (Northern California) available for sale.
Now me, like a dummy, went through with a 500 deposit and I did the financing paper work for approval, reading these constant delays has me thinking if I can cancel, who cares if I lose the 500, I just want to be free as I seen some dealerships from VW that have some available to purchase now.
I believe my deposit is refundable, My concern is the contract for financing but technically the car is not here. Was your Deposit Refundable?
And if they do have ones not claimed by anyone, its because they are marking them up $5k-$10k-$15k ! And people are actually saying NO, they don't want that... And/or they don't want the version they are offering.
Did they already run your credit? If not, I'd ask them to wait, and then ask them to show you screen shots of the movement of the car! When they do that, they'll likely find the 90-day hold.I believe my deposit is refundable, My concern is the contract for financing but technically the car is not here.
Yes they did run my credit last week, I figure after 30 days its no longer valid so it might lapse in terms of the car? I really Fuc&^% myself not realizing there was a port holdDid they already run your credit? If not, I'd ask them to wait, and then ask them to show you screen shots of the movement of the car! My bank told me they'd hold mine for 60-days... although, since I had my dealership writeup the agreement and plug in all the numbers, cash, deposit, financing, my bank is willing to pull the trigger and send the check! They have an actual VIN number for an actual car so both sides are good. I'm waiting until the last minute to have them execute the agreement so my payments don't start until later.Yes they did run my credit last week, I figure after 30 days its no longer valid so it might lapse in terms of the car? They gave me a rate on the contract as if toyota was going to finance me but I told them I was going to go with my credit union that they do not have an agreement with.My bank told me they'd hold mine for 60-days... although, since I had my dealership writeup the agreement and plug in all the numbers, cash, deposit, financing, my bank is willing to pull the trigger and send the check! If your financing is with Toyota, I would think they'd honor it as soon as the car cam in, but I'd make sure i asked the dealership that as well.
According to today's update to the online google sheet, there is only ONE currently on the Ground, in Sunnyvale CA.... There is ONE in freight status for Fresno (FWD White, XLE), Says its Pre-Sold. There is on Black AWD that is in "Allocated" status for Fresno. (not pre-sold)They gave me a rate on the contract as if toyota was going to finance me but I told them I was going to go with my credit union that they do not have an agreement with.
Mine is the Black AWD that is "Allocated"According to today's update to the online google sheet, there is only ONE currently on the Ground, in Sunnyvale CA.... Regardless of their status, they will still have a 90-day hold on them. Although, the one in Allocation status, could mean that its still being built to on a Ship on its way to port.
Mine is the Black AWD that is "Allocated"I wish I had a screenshot of that because I want to cancel now and just get the VW ID4

Toyota cuts July global production plan by 50,000 vehicles
Toyota Motor Corp on Wednesday cut its July global production plan by 50,000 vehicles as semiconductor shortages and COVID-19 parts supply disruptions continued to curb output.www.reuters.com
I had heard that Toyota assigned a non-numeric value in the serial number (final six digits) and then assigned a proper serial number later. I have not seen direct evidence of that, myself. They can't wait too long, because there are a couple of really hard to get to spots on the chassis where they put the serial number....I’m curious now about temp VIN vs permanent VIN assignments. I’ve read that Toyota and other manufacturers assign a temporary VIN on a car down the line and change to permanent once complete. Anyone in the Toyota world verify this? It would make sense looking at the spec sheet page, particularly the tempVIN flag (true or false).

You know what's interesting, is that this vehicle has not been updated since 06/03/2022 but all of the other cars on there have been?
We were chatting about the (apparent) recent change to US AWD bZ4X models from a "B" in position 7 of the VIN to a "C". Some additional scripting will be necessary to scrape that data when looking up by VIN.Im currently working on the Rav4 Hybrid at the moment and the way im updating my code would help with this vin base which is outside of the usual serial numbers. I should have something by the end of the week.
